BARKSDALE SAYS NATIONAL DEBT IS A “SIGNIFICANT PROBLEM” BUT BACKS BIGGER, MORE OBTRUSIVE GOVERNMENT

October 23, 2016

Liberal moneyman Jim Barkdale’s hypocrisy was on full display during the Atlanta Press Club debate tonight when he identified the country’s national debt as a “significant problem.”

“Jim Barksdale talks out of both sides of his mouth,” said Ryan Mahoney, spokesperson for the Georgia Republican Party.  “During the debate, Barksdale acknowledged that America’s $19 trillion national debt is problematic, dangerous, and an obstacle for economic growth but on the campaign trail he’s an unapologetic advocate for enhancing the size and scope of the federal government.

“I guess Barksdale forgot that the ‘cradle to grave’ government he supports is moving America closer to bankruptcy.  We need real fiscal conservatives to lead our country forward – not tax and spend liberals who waste millions in a vain attempt to buy a U.S. Senate seat.”
