GAGOP Chairman John Padgett on the Passing of Waffle House Co-Founder Joe Rogers

March 7, 2017

Over the weekend, Waffle House Co-Founder and community leader Joe Rogers passed away at the age of 97.  To honor his life and legacy, Georgia Republican Party Chairman John Padgett issued the following statement:

“Joe Rogers was a dynamic leader who always put others first. While his accomplishments at Waffle House were impressive, Joe’s humility, charity, and commitment to family far outweigh his business accolades. Georgia Republicans far and wide mourn the loss of Joe Rogers and pray for his family and loved ones during this season of sadness. He will be sorely missed but we are confident that Joe’s legacy of service will live on for generations to come.”

Rogers’ memorial service and celebration of life will begin at 1:30PM on Wednesday at the Georgia Tech Hotel & Conference Center.
