(Atlanta, GA) – Following a startling report from the non-partisan Congressional Budget Office, which reveals that Obamacare will add a trillion dollars to the deficit while slashing 2.3 million jobs, the Georgia Republican Party issued the following statements:
“While sobering, the new CBO report is not shocking,” said GAGOP Chairman John Padgett. “We knew from the beginning that Obamacare was bad for America. Now, we know the full extent.
“What is shocking is how Sen. Jason Carter and Michelle Nunn still support this job-killing, tax-hiking, deficit-growing legislation. Are they so infatuated with President Obama and loyal to the Democratic Party that they can’t see the devastating impact Obamacare will have on America’s future?
“Obamacare will cost Georgia upwards of 74,000 jobs. Clearly, it’s time for Sen. Carter and Michelle Nunn to reevaluate their position and allegiance, and at least appear to be supporting policies that grow our economy and move this state and country forward.”
