(Atlanta, GA) – Last week, during a heated debate with RNC Chairman Reince Priebus, Democratic National Committee Chairwoman Debbie Wasserman Schultz boldly declared, “any of our candidates will be able to run on Obamacare.” In response to the Chairwoman’s comments, the Georgia Republican Party issued the following statements:
“The Chairwoman’s hubris is shocking given the clear rejection of Obamacare throughout the country, especially here in Georgia. From the botched rollout to skyrocketing insurance premiums and cancellations, the Affordable Care Act is quickly becoming one of the most unpopular legislative initiatives in modern history.
“In Georgia, liberal senate candidate Michelle Nunn and the Democratic Party are avoiding the topic of Obamacare like the plague. Is there about to be an about-face in strategy?
“Following the Chairwoman’s comments, we have one question for Georgia Democratic Party Chairman DuBose Porter and liberal senate candidate Michelle Nunn – are you running on Obamacare now?”
