September 6, 2014

With help from Republican organizations throughout the state, the Georgia Republican Party Veteran’s Committee donated sports wheelchairs to Maj. Lisa Maddox and Cole Wooten, son of Army Sgt. Wooten, yesterday in Augusta.

“What a joy it is to gather for this incredible dedication ceremony,” said Georgia Republican Party Chairman John Padgett.  “Georgia Republicans believe in service and we hope that these wheelchairs will enhance the quality of life for Maj. Maddox and Cole Wooten.

“The Georgia Republican Party is blessed to have bold leaders like Ron Johnson to spearhead important initiatives like this one.  I look forward to attending many more of these ceremonies in the months and years to come.”

Georgia Governor Nathan Deal participated in the dedication ceremony as an honored guest and chief presenter.

Under the direction of GAGOP 2nd Vice-Chairman Ron Johnson, the GAGOP Veterans Committee has donated four wheelchairs to deserving veterans and their family members.
