SEN. JASON CARTER ECHOES PRESIDENT OBAMA, EARNS “MOSTLY FALSE” RATING BY POLITIFACT

April 21, 2014

(Atlanta, Georgia) – From Obamacare to Tax Reform, liberal State Senator Jason Carter continues to repeat the talking points of President Obama as he campaigns for Governor.  His recent comments regarding the pay gap between men and women in the workforce, however, caught the eye of PolitiFact, who rated his claim as “Mostly False.” Following this verdict, the Georgia Republican Party issued the following statement:
“PolitiFact’s ruling on Sen. Carter’s claim comes as no surprise, ” said Ryan Mahoney, spokesperson for the Georgia Republican Party.  “Like most liberal Democrats, Jason Carter is willing to say and do anything to get elected.  When it comes to regurgitating false claims by his grandfather or Party Leadership, Carter’s political ambition trumps his good judgment and desire for integrity.
“Georgia voters deserve better.  In Washington, President Obama continues to lie about Obamacare, the Keystone Pipeline, and economic reform.  The last thing we need in Georgia is a puppet for the Administration echoing the false claims of a failed president.”
