ATLANTA, GA – During a campaign stop in Dalton last week, radical Stacey Abrams proved yet again she is too liberal for Georgia. While speaking, Abrams asserted that illegal immigrants have a ‘right’ to the HOPE Scholarship – the merit-based scholarship reserved for Georgia students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievement.
In response, Georgia Republican Party Chairman John Watson issued the following statement:
“On the campaign trail, Stacey Abrams readily admits her plan to bankrupt the HOPE Scholarship to benefit illegal immigrants. Abrams’ radical, left-wing agenda will mean higher taxes for Georgia families, higher healthcare costs, and fewer educational opportunities for hardworking Georgia students.”
