RECORD NUMBER OF REPUBLICAN CANDIDATES QUALIFY
Atlanta, Georgia – More than 1,500 Republicans qualified to run for office in the 2020 elections, dwarfing the number of Democrats who qualified.
“Republicans are better organized and more enthusiastic than at any time I can remember,” said State Republican Chairman David Shafer. “With more than 1,500 candidates, we will be campaigning everywhere to everyone.”
According to the Secretary of State website, 1,525 Republicans qualified for federal, state and local office compared to 880 Democrats.
“This massive success reflects the overwhelming enthusiasm for President Trump and the superior party organization we have built under Chairman Shafer,” said Executive Director Stewart Bragg.
