Poor Judgment: Privileged Liberal Jon Ossoff Continued Business  Relationship With Al Jazeera

Atlanta, GA – Privileged liberal Jon Ossoff has tried to define himself as an investigative journalist by embellishing his resume with a part-time job at a foreign-based film company he purchased with family money. Now that company is becoming a liability for his Senate bid.

The Washington Free Beacon reports that Ossoff received at least $5,000 in compensation from work done by his company for Al Jazeera over the last two years, a Qatari news network that has a “reputation as a mouthpiece for terrorists,” according to the American Journalism Review. In the wake of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, The New York Times Magazine wrote that Al Jazeera “may not officially be the Osama bin Laden Channel — but he is clearly its star.”

During his failed run for Congress in 2017, Ossoff’s prior relationship with Al Jazeera – having collaborated with them on several film projects – became a major issue for his candidacy and contributed to his defeat. Despite the criticism he received for working with such a controversial organization, Ossoff appears to have continued his collaboration with them and seems to have no issue working with a network that has regularly amplified terrorist leaders.

“Jon Ossoff’s decision to continue his relationship with Al Jazeera, with full knowledge of their activities, shows abysmal judgment,” said Georgia GOP Executive Director Stewart Bragg. “How could the people of Georgia trust someone who spent much of his short professional career working closely with Al Jazeera? This further shows how unqualified he is for the job he’s seeking.”
