ATLANTA – Republican Marie Broder won a big victory today in the special election for District Attorney of the Griffin Judicial Circuit.

Georgia Republican Party Chairman David Shafer called Broder’s election a “resounding vote for law and order” by the people of the Griffin Judicial Circuit.

Shafer said that Georgia Republican Party staff and volunteers knocked on the doors of more than 3,500 voters, sent more than 8,000 text messages and made more than 11,000 telephone calls in support of Broder.

“This election was important, not just to the citizens of the Griffin Judicial Circuit but to all Georgia Republicans,” Shafer said.

The Griffin Judicial Circuit includes Spalding, Fayette, Upson and Pike Counties.  Broder was appointed District Attorney by Governor Brian Kemp and has now won a full term in her own right.
